6 Pet-Friendly Retreats for Valentine's Day



Three's company!  These warm weather hotels have planned romantic activities for couples - and their cuddly sidekicks!
  1. Vero Beach Hotel & Spa (Vero Beach, Florida) - The hotel's $368 "Menage a Paw" package includes a "Pampered Pooch Picnic" with wine spritzer, organic indulgences for mom and dad, dog treats, a collapsible dog bowl, and a clean-up bag.  Plus, $5 of your purchase goes to the Indian River County Humane Society!
  2. Barnsley Gardens Resort (Adairsville, Georgia) - $199 per night gets you the "Puppy love" package which includes "Pet Yappy Hour" each Saturday afternoon, and Valentine's Day, with live music for couples and their pet to enjoy.  Your tastes buds will be satisfied with free flowing pink champagne and breakfast for two.
  3. Brazilian Court (Palm Beach, Florida) - Keep the love alive with this hotel's Valentine's package ($599 per night, plus $100 pet fee) which offers themed doggie cookies, toys and poop bags.  And for two-legged guests: a welcome bottle of champs, a dozen chocolate strawberries, a Parisian breakfast for two - guaranteed to make your heart sing!

Ritz-Carlton (Miami Beach, Floriday) - For dogs 35 pounds and under, the "Puppy Love" package $599, plus a $250 pet fee) includes all the comforts a canine could want: personalized welcome note, luxurious four poster dog bed, heart-shaped ID tag, plush V-Day toys, candy love paws, sprinkled dog cookies and bite size breath fresheners to ensure sweet-smelling kisses. 
  5. Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort (Destin, Florida) - For $89 a night you can walk on Jolee Island beach,, the perfect spot for throwing tennis balls.  After a little exercise, shop at The Village of Baytowne Wharf to let your dog pick out his own gift.  Barking bonus: Proceeds from a Valentine's dog parade go to the animal refuge, Alaqua.
  6.
